Reef Motion DC pumps come with all the necessary fittings to install the pump in your system, fixed PVC pipes or hose connectors. Inlet and outlet have standard thread.
Compact multifunctional controller
It allows you to have an accurate reading of the power of the pump and the internal clock time. It informs you of any problem in the pump with alarms message, and it let you program the pump.
The internal clock allows you to program up to 3 feeding times ( 5 minutes at 30% power).
Also very functional in protein skimmers as it allows programming a stop in feeding times or addition of elements
You can connect up to 2 level sensors to prevent water overflow or dry operation in your aquarium or in your protein skimmer.
You can control the pump with an aquarist computer by computer port with a 1/10 vol signal.
If there is a problem, an alarm message will appear on the display showing the type of problem.
After a pause due to the detection of an error, the pump will restart 5 times to try to solve the problem, if it can not get, it will stop.
This protocol prevents the pump motor burn, but if the problem has been solved in these 5 attempts the pump will work again avoiding the aquarium to run out of flow.
If the pump detects that it is working dry, it will follow the self-protection protocol.
The pump also detects the presence of a foreign body in the pump that could damage the rotor or if there is a problem in aligning the rotor shaft or the bearings.
If the pump detects that there is an abnormal consumption and overheating, the self-protection protocol will be activated.
Sea water it's very corrosive by itself; but in marine aquarium, additives are used that are even more aggressive against metallic materials, that is why at Blau Aquaristic we have chosen to use Titanium fasteners in the Reef Motion 8KDC and 12 KDC models, in concordance with the high quality of the rest of the materials used in the Reef Motion DC seriespumps.

The possibility of programming the pump to make up to three feeding times allows to coordinate the decrease of the protein skimmer performance during periods of feeding or adding elements, avoiding the loss of newly added elements as well as the overflow.
The possibility of regulating the power of the pump allows a perfect adjustment to the skimming needs of the skimmer.
By connecting a level sensor located in the skimmer cup you can avoid its overflow.
